Dear Parents, Carers and Community Members,
Welcome back to term 4. I hope you all had safe and happy holidays.
The students are settling in well back at school and are ready for a busy term with so many events planned including our Community Assemblies, Grade 6 Camp, The Taroona High School Musical and many more.
Another exciting event this term is the Schools Triathlon Challenge. This event will be held on Friday 6th December at Bellerive Beach. A large number of students in Grades 3-6 have expressed an interest in participating in this initiative and have received information and entries forms. These forms with the $25 entry fee need to be returned to the school office by Thursday 17th October. Copies of the forms are included in this newsletter as well as information about a number of class excursions.
Michael Park is away this week on Long Service Leave and will be back on Tuesday 22nd October. I will be acting in his role while he is away. If you have any queries or concerns please come and see me.
Looking forward to the many highlights of term 4.

4/5 Excursion to Drysdale House
On Friday the 18th October 2019, Drysdale Hobart will be hosting an International Chefs Day and 4/5CC have been invited to attend. Students will experience a fun and healthy cooking experience designed for kids. The 'How Healthy Food Works' workshop is where students will learn about how good food affects them. It is an opportunity for students to be creative with food, with a Chef's input and help.
We will be walking to the Drysdale Centre of Excellence and will need to leave school promptly at 9.00am. Students will need to wear full school uniform, sensible walking shoes and bring a drink. We will return to school by lunch time.
