Dear Families,
As we bid farewell to another successful year, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire Goulburn Street community – parents, friends, staff, and our students. Your unwavering commitment and hard work have contributed immeasurably to what we have achieved together.
As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child," and this sentiment resonates deeply within the fabric of our school. The collaborative spirit and support that characterise our community have been instrumental in nurturing the growth and development of each student.
Our recent Leaver's Assembly marked an important moment in our school calendar as we celebrated the accomplishments of our Year 6 students. The event was a resounding success, with the school buzzing with families and friends, joining in the festivities that acknowledged the remarkable journey these students have undertaken. The highlight, as always, was the introduction of our Year 6 students, mixing current photos with snapshots from their earlier childhood years. Special thanks go to Mrs. Brelis and Mrs. Tymms for delivering heartfelt speeches, capturing the essence of each student. This personalized touch is a hallmark of our school, earning praise from special guests who commend our dedication to knowing and celebrating the uniqueness of every student.
As we approach the festive season, I want to extend warm wishes to you, your family, and friends for a joyous Christmas. May this time be filled with moments of joy, reflection, and connection. Please take this opportunity to cherish the company of family and friends, and, above all, stay safe.
Looking ahead, we eagerly anticipate welcoming everyone back on Thursday, 8th February, for the commencement of the 2024 school year. Until then, enjoy the well-deserved break.
Warm regards,
Michael
