Dear Families,
We extend our gratitude to the School Association and all the parents and friends who generously supported the Election Day BBQ and Cake stall. Your contributions have resulted in an astounding profit of approximately $2200, a remarkable achievement.
We are excited to remind you that the 2024 School Association AGM is scheduled for tomorrow night at 6 pm in the staffroom. This is where the new committee will be elected. The decisions made by the 2024 committee, in collaboration with the school and the community, will shape how fundraising efforts are utilised throughout the year.
The Year 6 Camp was an unequivocal success, with students, staff, and parent volunteers immersing themselves in three days of enriching activities including orienteering, beach swimming, obstacle challenges, team games, and the ever-anticipated talent show. We extend our appreciation to our dedicated staff members, Mrs. Brelis, Mr. Latham and Mitch for their commitment over the 3 days at camp and to Fran and Mitch for all their hard work in preparing and organising all the food prior to departure. A special thank you to our parent volunteers, Kate Gross, Rebecca Jackson, Kirsten Siejka, Kali Hindmarsh and Hao Wu, without their support the camp would not have been possible. A vibrant photo display capturing the joyous moments of the camp is now showcased in the front office. We encourage you to visit and witness the excitement firsthand!
Our Harmony Day celebrations culminated last Friday during our whole school assembly. We applaud the efforts of 3/4 Coe/Anders and Prep/1 Evans classes for their captivating performances, spreading messages of harmony through song and movement.
Reminders:
- The annual Easter Raffle draw will take place tomorrow. Kindly ensure all outstanding raffle booklets are returned by tomorrow morning. The winners external to the school will be promptly contacted to collect their prizes before the Easter break.

Mrs Chante Ellerton is excited to be working with our youngest students and their families during these sessions, which will begin on Friday 23rd March!
Our timetable will be released early next week, so look out for it in the newsletter, on the school noticeboard and on our Facebook page!
SAFEGUARDING TRAINING IN OUR SCHOOLS
We all have a role to play in keeping children and young people safe.
This year, there is important training that anyone who works with children or young people must complete. This includes all our parent volunteers and service providers.
The training is compulsory under new laws designed to better safeguard children and young people in Tasmania.
It will help you understand what to do if you believe a child or young person is or may be being harmed, and to make sure you are doing all you can to prevent this from happening. The training will also tell you what you must report under the new laws.
This simple, online training must be done as soon as possible, and you will need to complete it before you work with any children and young people this year.
Once completed, you will receive a certificate, which you can save. Please email a copy of the certificate to louise.anders@decyp.tas.gov.au
To complete your training, simply visit Safeguarding Training.
Thank you for leading the way in caring for our children and young people safe so that they can focus on living bright lives with positive futures.
