Dear Families,
I want to take this opportunity to thank all the staff, students, parents, and our wider school community for all their hard work and dedication this term. Schools are always an extremely busy and ever-changing environment, and without a whole community support network we would not have the success that we do.
A big thanks to the School Association and our staff for organising the Winter Chill Disco held last night. The event was a wonderful event that provided students with an outlet to relax and express themselves in different ways.
For the first 2 weeks of Term 3 I will be taking Long Service Leave. Chante Ellerton will be Acting Principal in my absence.
Finally, I want to wish you all the best for the school holidays and hope you all get to spend some quality time with your children.

Welcome back to Launching into Learning (LiL) for Term 3!
LiL will continue on Friday mornings from 9-10:30am in the upstairs classroom of the Early Childhood building. We have lots of fun activities and events planned for our youngest students this term, as well as the opportunity to participate in the annual Book Week Parade on Friday 23rd August!
A reminder that Kinder enrolments for 2025 are open, and we will be starting our preparations for next years’ kindergarten students in the coming weeks! Please contact the office if you have a child born in 2020 who is eligible for Kinder next year.
Launching into Learning is a great opportunity for children from 0-4 years of age to become familiar with the school and to make connections with staff and other students!
The Growing Up Program (GUP) for Years 3-6 will be held from Monday the 29th of July until Friday the 2nd of August.
The Program is facilitated by an experienced team of Family Planning Tasmania educators, and is age and developmentally appropriate, sequential, and evidence-based.

We will be holding our Annual Fathers Day Stall on Friday the 30th of August. Gifts will be available for students to purchase ranging in price from $2.00 to $6.00 dollars. Students with money will be able to purchase when their class is called.

By showing up to school every day, your child will have the best opportunity at a bright future. It gives them every chance to be around friends, learn new things, and find interests.
Good attendance habits can sometimes be hard to stick. Keep trying to create a solid routine, to set your child up for success for the rest of the year.
