Dear Families,
Another busy and productive week for Goulburn Street Primary School as we support our students at school and in homes across our community. As a staff we are absolutely amazed at the commitment and effort of our students to learning in these challenging and unprecedented times. The amount of learning and submissions from students working at home, is not only a credit to the planning and developed of the work by our teachers, but also the flexibility and adaptability of our families to support students in the home environment.
As we await further information from the Government in relations to schools, we will continue to operate in the same mode of delivery with only students of essential workers being provided for at school. Parents who have students learning at home please ensure you contact your child’s class teacher if you have questions, concerns or issues with the learning programs, as we are here to support in any way we can.
You will find attached students have received a certificate for the value of ‘Courage’. Being courageous in our current situation and being able to accept challenges and embrace opportunities is a wonderful attribute to display. We will post all certificates to students who are working from home.
As a staff we really miss having all our students at school and we are looking forward to the time when all students are welcomed back on site. In the meantime, please focus on your child’s wellbeing as a priority and enjoy the time you have at home with your family.
Regards Michael

Wellbeing Check-In for Years 4/5CM, 5/6B and 5/6T
Staying connected and checking in with our students is more important than ever.
A new Wellbeing Check-In has been developed for teachers to further support the wellbeing of students.
The Check-In will help prompt discussion with a student who indicates they are feeling unhappy, tired or behind in their school work.
Our teachers will be sending out a link to the Wellbeing Check-In via Class Dojo/CANVAS early next week. Please support your children to complete the online form.
If your teacher has concerns for the wellbeing of your child they will reach out to discuss how they can be further supported while learning from home.
Students in Grade 5/6 T were asked to design a rubber band powered vehicle that could cope with the rough terrain on Mars.
They were to use items that they found around the house.
Connor said - " I enjoyed the task very much and had fun."
