Taster Day and 5/6Clifford Excursion
On Thursday 3rd April, grade 6 students from Goulburn Street Primary enjoyed a taste of what it will be like to be a grade 7 student at Hobart City High School. We spent the day on the Ogilvie campus and participated in a range of fun activities including Woodwork with Mr Clifford Jnr, Japanese with Sensei Jones, Drama with Ms Wilson and a combined game of soccer with other schools.

On Tuesday 8th April, 5/6 Clifford moved their classroom to the Peacock Theatre for the day. There, students worked with volunteers from The Story Island Project to explore story telling techniques. We used magazine cut outs to create story collages, character and settings and then shared them amongst our friends. It was a thought-provoking experience which challenged our creativity and teamwork and the skills we acquired during the workshop will help us to express ourselves more imaginatively.
