Our Combined Primary Schools Choir (DEC Choir) has begun working very hard on repertoire, as are our Bands, for the culminating concert in Term 4 on Nov 21st at MyState Bank Arena, with all the Combined Primary Schools Bands from the Southern Region.
In this small choir, we have started learning our songs – having fun, as well as consolidating and extending many musical and social skills, such as listening, rhythm and beat, singing technique, phrasing, appreciation of different styles of music, commitment, application, teamwork, self-discipline and perseverance, to name a few!
The CPSChoir will attend a full day workshop on August 21st and several after school rehearsals too, where we will join with children from about a dozen other schools to form a big choir and rehearse our songs – hard work but lots of fun too!
Along with our Grades 5 and 6 Bands, the CPSChoir is excited and really looking forward to representing Goulburn Street Primary School at this fabulous concert!
