Principals News

Dear Families,

Our recent Year 3-6 Swimming Carnival was a fantastic event. It was wonderful to see our students doing their best in the pool, cheering on their peers, and proudly supporting their houses. A big thank you to Mr. Latham for all his hard work in organising and coordinating such a successful day. It was also terrific to see so many families and friends in attendance, creating a great atmosphere for our students. Well done to Oak, who were the winning house on the day!

We are excited to share that the monkey bars are back! Our old set has been refurbished and moved under the Oak Tree. This play equipment has always been a favourite with our students, and it looks great in its new location. Students may have noticed that the high monkey bar had to be removed during this process, and we are already in discussions about where this could be reinstalled in the future.

Last Friday we held our annual National Day of Action Against Bullying Assembly. Students from Prep B and 3/4 Brelis showcased their learning through song, dance, and art. This year’s theme of Be Bold, Be Kind, Speak Up, was communicated with great passion and understanding. It was a wonderful reminder that, as a school community, we all have a role to play in ensuring our students feel safe, valued, and heard.

On Wednesday this week we will hold our annual Book Week Parade, starting at 9:00am. Parents and carers are warmly invited to gather near the Dragon to enjoy the wonderful array of costumes as our students and staff celebrate their favourite books.

Finally, we wish all the students who were selected in the Winter Sports Combined Schools Teams the very best at their respective carnivals held today. We know you will do yourselves and our school proud.

Warm regards,
Michael
