School Association News - Traffic Movement
Dear Parents
Following concerns regarding traffic movement and speed around the School in the past, we have contacted the Hobart City Council to review road safety on Goulburn Street and Forest Road.
We have received notice that the Hobart City Council has compiled historical data for the school surrounds including vehicle speed, volume and reported crash history. A traffic count in December was positive for our school with a paid crossing guard for Goulburn Street being approved.
A count on Forest Road is either underway this week or was completed last week and I have been asked to coordinate a meeting with the Council sometime in March.
As a result, a meeting with the Hobart City Council has been arranged for 8:45 -9:45 am onThursday 19 March 2020.
So if you are able after you have dropped off your children, please stay and have a chat with the Lord Mayor, Councillors and the HCC Traffic team.
If you have witnessed any issues that are of concern, please send me a short email.
If this is still in your memory, the date and time of the incident as well as a description of the incident would be great.
I will then compile the reports I receive and have them available for the Council representatives at the meeting.
